Friendly Safety Reminders
- Always supervise your pet while playing with any toys.
- Discontinue use if any part of the toy is broken or damaged beyond moderate wear and tear.
- Remove any and all packaging before use.
- Wash toys regularly to prevent bacteria build up.
- Ensure that each toy is suitable for your dog’s size and behavior.
- No dog toy is indestructible.
- Chew but don’t eat, no dog toy is intended to be eaten and could cause serious harm if ingested.
Rubber Toys
While rubber dog toys are highly durable and safe, no dog toy is indestructible, nor edible or intended to be ingested. Always monitor your dog during play and chew time should be kept to a reasonable time limit. Some Rubber toys may have specific interactive functionalities, such as a feeder for inserting treats or an internal squeaker. It is recommended that these toys be used in conjunction with their functionalities to extend the life of the toy. If any portion or part of the toy is tearing apart, ripped off, or damaged in any way, discard the toy immediately. DuraPaw sends you new toys every month, so you don’t need to keep the old ones!
Rubber Lick Mat's
Rubber Lick Mat's are intended for intermittent feeding and licking only. Lick Mat's are not intended to be used as a chew toy and should not be left unsupervised. There are many health benefits to using a Lick Mat, when used properly, such as reducing anxiety and stress. Inspect the Lick Mat before each use to ensure no rubber parts have been chewed or broken loose.
Nylon Toys
Nylon dog toys are a great option for those tough and aggressive chewers, but it's important to keep safety in mind. While teeth marks on the toy are normal, be sure to check regularly for any larger pieces or shavings of plastic that may have been chewed off and could potentially be swallowed or ingested. There is always risk that your dog could crack a tooth if they chew too aggressively. Always monitor your dog while playing with any nylon toy to ensure they are chewing safely, and consider switching to a softer toy if you notice any signs of discomfort.
Plush Toys
Plush toys come in many different types and qualities of fabrics. Many of our DuraPaw Exclusive toys are designed with ropes involved as well. Our plush toys are intended for many different fun games such as fetch, tug-of-war, hide and seek, and some also have puzzle feeders included. Although your dog may chew these plush toys, chew time must be monitored and if the toy becomes damaged in any way it should be taken away and discarded immediately.
Rope Toys
Rope toys are great for dogs who prefer the feel of a softer toy, however, rope toys are not specifically intended for chewing. Rope toys are meant to be used as tug toys, for games such as tug-of-war, to interact and play with your dog. Any part of the rope that becomes twisted, mangled, or undone should be immediately removed from your dog.
Dog Accessories
We want your pup to look their best and feel comfortable in our DuraPaw accessories. Please inspect all dog collars before use and test the buckle to ensure a secure fit. As with any accessory, please do not leave them on your dog unattended. While our products are made with high-quality materials, please monitor your dog to ensure they are not able to chew or ingest any parts of the accessory, which can be harmful to their health.
